Additional information:
Sycamore is part of the maple family. Sadly considered a weed by some, as its fast growing and has a large crown, with seed pods the spread far and wide. It’s a beautiful tree and mature specimens can be tapped in spring like maple or Birch.
The wood is splated, slightly. This is the very start of the decaying process, with a change in colour of the wood, crating unique and bespoke patterns.
Mark’s workshop is located at his home, nestled with about 300 acres of forest in Shropshire. He hand-turns pieces on his lathe which are sealed with beeswax (from a hive in his village) and mineral oil
